Caio Fernando Abreu documents collection of Delfos Digital - PUCRS cover more than 500 works, including press clippings, brochures and posters, handwritten or typed original version of tales and books. Only a part of his collection was included in Delfos Digital. His complete collection is available at Delfos - Center of Documentation and Cultural Memory, of PUCRS.
Caio Fernando Abreu (Caio Fernando Loureiro de Abreu, Porto Alegre, RS, 1948, Porto Alegre, RS, 1996) was a tales writer, novelist, playwright and journalist. His first novel, The Frog Prince, 1963, was published in the magazine "Claudia". In 1968, he moved to São Paulo to attend the first issue of "Veja" magazine. He went into exile in Europe until 1974, when he returned to Porto Alegre where he began his prolific literary creation. He has won several awards, including the "Jabuti" for Triângulo das Águas, 1984. The hallmark of his work is the collection of tales Morangos Mofados, 1982. His last novel, Onde andará Dulce Veiga?, 1990, was adapted for the cinema.
This collection is currently under the care of Delfos, located on the 7th floor of PUCRS Main Library of PUCRS (Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil).
