Moacyr Scliar documents collection of Delfos Digital - PUCRS cover more than 800 works, including the handwritten or typed original version of his work, correspondence, clippings and other documents deposited at Delfos - Center of Documentation and Cultural Memory, of PUCRS.
Moacyr Scliar (Moacyr Jaime Scliar, Porto Alegre, RS, 1937 - Porto Alegre, RS, 2011). Doctor, teacher and writer. He worked in public health and was teacher at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, won four Jabuti awards, two Açorianos and one Casa de las Américas, among others. In the early years of the 2000s, Moacyr Scliar started negotiations with PUCRS - at that time with Centro de Memória Literária da Faculdade de Letras - to be depositary of documents which are part of his estate. He then handed boxes with these documents, which were then placed in envelopes, classified and cataloged by Delfos in the ALEPH system.
This collection is currently under the care of Delfos, located on the 7th floor of PUCRS Main Library.
